TEAM PROFILE


Richard Tovey

Richard is an International Licence holder. He has a wealth of experience in a variety of cars including AC Cobra, MGB, Porsche and the hugely powerful Lola.

Competing in both International endurance races and the Classic Sports Car Championship, Richard has enjoyed considerable success.

Amongst his achievements Richard can list overall class winner in the Classic Sports Car Championship where he drove the MGB to victory against many more powerful cars.

Richard has come a long way from his Karting days during the early 70's, to now competing in the Classic Le Mans 24hr driving the Lola T290 that was previously run by Marcel Van Hool.
Jon Puliston

Jon started off his motorsport career marshalling for the BARC across the various UK circuits and hill climb events, which then lead him to study vehicle mechanics and bodywork restoration. With a passion for Historics he has gone on to build, prepare and co-drive a number of classics at both national and international level. Now with a degree in Engineering, Jon has designed and reverse engineered parts for prestigious marques such as Bentley and Bugatti and prepared and run cars for the Monaco Historic GP and the Goodwood Revival.

More modern work has involved the design and development of the first 986 and 987 Porsche Boxster race car – with hundreds of hours devoted to these cars, working on them has become second nature. With an in depth knowledge of the build process and strong diagnostic skills, Jon is fast become a specialist for this brand.

Always wanting to develop and move forward, and with a desire for new challenges, Jon has become a valuable team member for Newbridge. His ultimate goal is to design, develop and run a Sports Prototype at the Le Mans 24hr.

To date, Jon has experience with Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Bentley, Elva, MG, Nissan, Porsche and Riley.

Dan Lloyd

Dan joined the team part way through 2010 as an undergraduate and we are pleased to announce he now has a degree in Motorsport Technology. A background in Karting has taught Dan about the dynamics of racing and the requirements of the driver. Whilst studying he has become proficient at running an analysing data logging and he is able to put this to use together with theory learned from University to really dial in a car to the driver's individual requirements.
Marcus Litwinow

Marcus graduated from Oxford Brookes University and has experience in F3 and Formula BMW and has a broad knowledge European race circuits. He has a good technical understanding of vehicle sub systems and is able to rebuild, repair and modify both road and race cars. A keen eye for detail ensures that all his work is carried out to the highest standard which can be seen both in the workshop and at the race track.

Drivers
Nick Hull

Nick joined Newbridge in 2009 and has been campaigning the first championship regulation spec Porsche Boxster S for a little over a season now, picking up numerous race wins and podium finishes along the way. Nick will continue to run the Boxster in 2011 with continued development throughtout the season.

Achievements and Goals

Short circuit karting Rotax Max 2002/2004 125 gearbox 2005 250 superkart 2007. British 250 superkart super stock champion 2007 Various drives in Ginetta G20 2008, March 2009 Sebring USA endurance race 3rd in class. Finished 19th overall out of 110 starters. With an influx of experienced drivers for the 2011 season, Nick's aim is to remain within the top five.
Guillaume Gruchet

2011 is the first year racing for Guillaume at the wheel of the newly built 987 Porsche Boxster by Newbridge Motorsport.Originally from France and based in the UK since 1998. Away from the track, enjoys a quiet family life fulfilled with looking after his two sons and great support from his wife.

Achievements and Goals

Together with Newbridge, Guillaume is looking to improve his driving technique, gain valuable track experience and develop the car throughout the 2011 season.
Steven Warburton

1992 Evening Standard Formula First Champion, 1994 Team Castrol Honda Driver, 2001 Fomula Palmer Audi Champion, 2005 Winner in British GT3 Championship. 2011 is first year in the Porsche Championship. Steven aims to provide as much feedback as possible from a broad range of track conditions and race scenarios.
Lucy Wardrop

Lucy is one of the fastest females in National Formula Ford today and can always be seen at the front of the grid battling it out with the boys.

Currently racing in the National Formula Ford Events, Lucy has gained valuable experience and is developing her racing skills at a very impressive pace.

With the support of Newbridge Motorsport it is envisaged that Lucy will continue to feature at the front of the grid.
Paul Ennion

Paul is the latest driver to the team and has recently passed his competition licence allowing him to compete in National races to gain experience before venturing onto the Internetional Circuit.

Paul has shown tremendous pace in his test sessions and is sure to be straight on to the pace in the 750 Motor Club Stock Hatch Championship.

Paul has progressed through the driver development programme of Newbridge Motorsport and has worked closely with the Instructors within the team and Silverstone Racing School.
