24H Series powered by HANKOOK
The 24H Series powered by HANKOOK is made up of both 12 and 24-hour endurance races on many of the world's most fascinating circuits and a convivial atmosphere and liberal technical regulations makes it an attractive and low-cost proposition for teams and drivers of all levels.
It caters for all drivers, from professional drivers to complete amateurs, and an established multi-class structure allows all specifications of racecar, including hot hatchbacks, touring cars and thoroughbred GT3 cars, to compete on the same platform.
Founded and promoted by Dutch agency, CREVENTIC, the series began with the Dubai 24 Hours in 2006 and has burgeoned quickly into an FIA-sanctioned endurance championship, with halts at Mugello, Zandvoort, Circuit Paul Ricard, Catalunya and Brno.
Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport
For Porsche, there was a time when motor racing was the sole province of the 911, but that has changed with the introduction of the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
In February 2015, Manthey Motorsport in Germany was announced as the official Research and Development and Technical Partner for the Cayman GT4 Clubsport programme and the team has been developing the car for full GT4 homologation ahead of its competition debut in 2016.
The Cayman GT4 CS boasts a full roll cage, a gutted interior with a set of Schroth six-point racing seatbelts, a racing seat and a large fire extinguisher.
Its 3.8-litre dry-sump flat-six sends 385bhp and 310lb-ft of torque to the locking rear differential via a six-speed Porsche PDK transmission and, while the Clubsport retains the road-going GT4's rear axle and suspension, it substitutes 911 GT3 struts at the front.
Newbridge Motorsport fielded one of the first examples of this new-for-2016 racecar in rounds of the 2016 CREVENTIC 24H Series powered by HANKOOK and the team has opportunities for paying drivers to race in the championship's 24-hour races, as well as in the Competition102 GT4 European Series, GT Cup and on the Britcar platform. This programme continues into 2018.
