The Porsche Boxster is an iconic lightweight, rear-wheel-drive roadster and Newbridge Motorsport has derived versions to compete in various championships.
Under the bonnet of Newbridge Motorsport’s 986 Boxster is an enhanced 3.2litre horizontally-opposed, naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine. Modified for racing longevity, the engine is capable of producing 280bhp with a top-speed of over 165mph and a 0-62mph time of sub-five seconds.
The mid-engine layout provides a low centre of gravity, near-perfect weight distribution and neutral handling.
Fitted inside the 2,418mm wheelbase roadster is an eight-point roll cage built around a race bucket seat with a six-point harness suitable for Hans device with a 4.0litre FIA-approved fire extinguisher also fitted on-board.
Newbridge's Boxster has been fitted with uprated adjustable dampers to aid cornering and handling, while upgraded brakes sit behind Team Dynamics 18” forged race wheels capable of bringing the car to a halt in a considerably short distance.
